  • Payment information: billing address and payment method details (processed securely through Stripe; we do not store full credit card numbers)
  • Communications: messages, feedback, and correspondence you send to us
  • Estimator data: ZIP code, project type, square footage, and email address submitted through our online estimator tool

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • Device and browser information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen resolution
  • Usage data: pages visited, time spent on pages, click patterns, referral source, and navigation paths

  • Legal requirements: we may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: if Clear Build is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control.
  • With your consent: we may share your information in other circumstances with your explicit consent.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate our business, including providers for website hosting, database storage, file storage, payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, consultation scheduling, customer relationship management, website analytics (Google Analytics 4), and spam protection (hCaptcha). These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us and to maintain appropriate security measures.

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it processes data. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with directly. We select providers that maintain industry-standard security practices and limit their use of your data to the services they perform on our behalf.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

5.1 What We Use

  • Project data and deliverables: retained for up to 36 months after project completion to support warranty, revision, and reference needs
  • Estimator and lead data: retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission
  • Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting regulations
  • Analytics data: retained in accordance with Google Analytics 4 default retention settings (14 months)

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
  • Secure authentication and access controls
  • Regular security reviews of third-party providers

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
